In the last two months I have had numerous conversations with friends, family and clients who have found themselves circling down the black funnel of Corona Virus panic. It can come in many forms. Racing heart rates, spinning thoughts, absentmindedness, nervous stomach and sleepless nights are just a few ways that worry, panic, fear and anxiety manifest themselves.
Have you ever poured yourself fully into a project? I’m talkin’ jump in with both feet. All in. Every egg in your “This is it!” basket. I have. More than I would like to admit.
Did you shell out good money for the Super-Dooper-Veggie-Slicer knives at the big box store because the guy was nice and he really did slice those tomatoes paper thin?
How much money did you spend at your friend’s home show… ya know the one with the candles or the kitchen gadgets or the make up? Yup. Me too.
Did you spring for the fancy hub caps, heated seats or computerized something or other??? Yes. I know. I get it.
A little over a year and a half ago I began writing on a regular basis as an outlet for the new material I was learning in the nutrition world as I was taking classes to become a Nutritional Therapy Consultant (NTC). I have written on a variety of topics, trying to teach people about how their body works, good food choices and some lifestyle management pointers. On occasion, mostly during a holiday season, I have addressed deeper topics like, how our minds work, our purpose on the planet and our eternal destiny.
I am more than 25 years out from High School, yet I still have nightmares about it. Is that weird? It’s usually the same themes… caught wearing my pjs at the bus stop- again, can’t get my locker open, late to class, must give a presentation and I’m not prepared or I’m just stark naked and everyone is looking at me! Says a lot about my Type A personality, doesn’t it?
